Wheeler celebrates its birthday with 650b bikes

The Taiwanese manufacturer has 40 candles on its birthday cake this year - and a limited edition anniversary model in its portfolio. The celebrations are being held with a 650b hardtail that not only boasts a carbon chassis.

Wheeler is celebrating its milestone birthday with the "Protron Anniversary": the 650b bike is based on a carbon monocoque frame, with a Rock Shox Reba RL fork with a 120 millimeter stroke in the head tube. Shimano's XT groupset is used for the gears, while the SLX components from the same company take care of the braking.

The price is set at CHF 2,190, and the birthday bike will be available in a limited edition from Wheeler dealers from September 2013.
