Canyon mutates into Cylan

Service, sales and development will remain unchanged - but from August 1st, almost nothing else will be the same at Swiss bike manufacturer Canyon. With a name change and extensive rebranding, the company wants to clearly differentiate itself from the German direct supplier with the same name Canyon and open up to new digital sales channels.

In a message to specialist retailers, Lizard Sport AG, based in Pieterlen, announces that the Canyon.swiss brand will soon be history. "In order to optimally position specialist retailers and Lizard Sport AG for the future, we are renaming the Canyon.swiss brand CYLAN as of August 1. The name change is intended to strengthen the unique selling point of our brand in order to avoid confusion with CANYON Germany in the future," announced Jürg Schoch, CEO at Lizard Sport and Yves Ghison, Sales Manager at Lizard Sport.

At the same time, Cylan is opening up new sales channels. From August 1, a click & collect system will be introduced, allowing customers to simply order bikes online and collect them from the specialist store.
