Association representatives from Swiss Cycling, Pro Velo, Züri Trails and Zürcher Wanderwege as well as experts from various municipal and cantonal offices met on Wednesday for the first meeting to develop this mountain bike concept. This will later serve as a planning instrument for the municipal authorities. The mandate for this comes from the Cycling Master Plan, which the city council adopted at the end of 2012. Mountain biking is now to be explicitly addressed in this plan. Due to the complexity of the topic, it is not yet possible to say when the concept will be available. It is also not yet known who will prepare the concept.
