Cycle Week 2026, Switzerland’s largest cycling festival, came to a successful close on Sunday evening. From May 28 to 31, everything in Zurich revolved around bicycles—from urban lifestyle to athletic performance.

With around 90,000 visitors at the Europaallee, Brunau, and Sihlcity locations, the festival once again drew a large crowd. Europaallee, in particular, attracted numerous passersby thanks to its central location, who spontaneously immersed themselves in the festival atmosphere.

Organizing Committee President Erwin Flury expressed his satisfaction: The decentralized concept of Cycle Week once again helped reach a broad audience and bring cycling culture directly into the urban space.

The industry also made extensive use of the platform. The cycle week Expo featured over 130 exhibitors—a new record. Despite the summer heat, many vendors were pleased with the high level of public interest. Test rides on the urban and sports courses in Europaallee and Brunau were particularly popular.

In total, thousands of test rides were completed, while workshops and guided tours were also in high demand. The combination of expo, sports, lifestyle, and hands-on activities provided a wide range of experiences for everyone from beginners to pros.

The sporting highlights also delivered spectacular action: International BMX flatland and dirt contests thrilled the audience, while the Züri Dirt Contest and the multi-day adventure Züri Escape showcased top athletic performances.

A special highlight was the new Short Track Fast&Curious format, which provided entertainment with cargo bike races, folding bike battles, and children’s activities, generating particular enthusiasm among young visitors.

The organizers report a thoroughly positive outcome: There were no serious incidents throughout the four days of the festival. Cycle Week 2026 thus underscores its status as Switzerland’s largest participatory cycling festival—with strong growth, high participation, and clear prospects for the future.

The next Cycle Week will take place from May 20 to 23, 2027.
