From June 11–13, 2027, Ouchy on Lake Geneva will become the festival’s new home. Cycle Week will be held annually in both Zurich and Lausanne. The organizers have established long-term partnerships with both cities, making Cycle Week Switzerland’s premier cycling festival, taking place on both sides of the Röstigraben.

This expansion is no coincidence. Lausanne offers everything a modern cycling festival needs: a modern event venue right on the lake, a dynamic cycling scene, steadily increasing bicycle use, and over 135 kilometers of developed bike paths. Added to this is political support for active mobility and an established sports and event culture. “With Lausanne, we are now anchoring this successful concept in French-speaking Switzerland as well,” say the organizers. Since its launch, Cycle Week has established itself as a central platform for the entire cycling world—from everyday riders and commuters to recreational cyclists, families, and sports enthusiasts, all the way to innovators and industry representatives.

The program remains as diverse as ever: spectacular shows and contests, a large expo, exciting workshops, and group rides. The festival format deliberately creates spaces for interaction between a wide variety of people and interest groups. This is exactly what is needed in times when sustainable and active mobility is becoming increasingly important, according to the organizers.

With the second event in Lausanne, Cycle Week is not only expanding its reach but also building a symbolic bridge between German-speaking Switzerland and French-speaking Switzerland. The dates for 2027 have already been set: Cycle Week will take place in Zurich from May 20 to 23, 2027, while Lausanne will become the new highlight by the lake from June 11 to 13, 2027. Cycling fans throughout Switzerland can look forward to an even bigger, even more Swiss festival.
