Darling, I shrunk the GoPro

Small and square, that's what the action camera market leader's latest product looks like. The "GoPro Hero 4 Session" is likely to make life difficult for the competition, as it packs a lot of image and sound quality and uncomplicated operation into a small camera cube. Compared to the familiar GoPro models, the new cam is 50% smaller and 40% lighter.

The "GoPro Hero 4 Session" has these features on board:

Better sound
The camera comes with a slim mount system that is compatible with GoPro's numerous accessories. A dual microphone system dynamically switches audio recording from one microphone to the other to reduce wind noise. Audio performance during water activities is drastically improved thanks to the waterproof design without a housing that can muffle the sound.

Available from mid-July
Thanks to the robust, waterproof design of the "Session", no additional housing is required. The integrated battery is not replaceable and lasts for around 2 hours of filming. The new GoPro kid on the block will be available from 12 July at authorized dealers and on GoPro.com.
