From 25 to 30 May, the focus will be on trail maintenance: as part of Trail Care Week, existing trails between Tirano and Bernina will be brought back into shape. Volunteer mountain bikers will lend a hand under expert guidance: trails will be renovated, drained and shovelled - all with the aim of making the trails usable for everyone and protecting nature at the same time. A strong sign of recognition this year comes from Japanese component manufacturer Shimano: the company is starting a three-year sponsorship of Trail Care Week. This will benefit not only the organizers, but also everyone who uses the trails in Valposchiavo.

The traditional Vivabike Festival will follow directly after Trail Care Week from 30 May to 1 June - a MTB happening for all the senses. Visitors can expect a colorful mix of guided tours, regional cuisine and socializing. "The festival is much more than just a bike event - it is an invitation to discover Valposchiavo in all its facets: sporty, close to nature and full of enjoyment," says Tourism Director Thomas Fries in a nutshell.

With Trail Care Week and the Vivabike Festival, Valposchiavo is sending out a clear signal for sustainable mountain bike tourism. As part of the active #vivabike group, the offer is constantly being further developed - always in harmony with nature, the local population and guests. An exciting new highlight: the Alpine Gravel Challenge, which will be held for the first time in 2025 and will open up completely new perspectives on the valley.
