In six days, Hans and Frischi rode through the Italian-Swiss border area between the Upper Engadine, the Livigno region and Bormio. Ascents by train, bus (and helicopter), descents on alpine single trails. Back then they called their form of mountain biking "freeride", today this type of mountain biking has established itself as "enduro". The film symbolizes how the sport of mountain biking has developed in recent years and was still a step ahead of its time.

The wonderful thing about the film is that all the protagonists are still active. Hans Rey is still looking for trail adventures around the globe and Thomas Frischknecht leads Nino Schurter's team and can be found on the trails just as often. The film was produced by Halsundbeinbruch, now one of the most active and successful film production companies in the mountain bike sector. The film was initiated by Allegra Tourismus, now an influential trail building and destination development company. Only the term "Alta Rezia" has effectively disappeared from the scene. What remains, however, are all the legendary Alta Rezia trails, which continue to be ridden by mountain bikers. Like Hans Rey and Thomas Frischknecht did 15 years ago.
