After the AM and the AC, the Helius model line from Nicolai is getting another addition in 2010. The new bike goes by the name Helius AFR, which stands for All Freeride. With the Horst-Link from Specialized, the four-bar linkage offers 175 to 197 millimetres at the rear. The proven kinematics are sensitive and drive-neutral. If you equip the AFR with a 180 millimeter fork, the steering angle is 66.8 degrees. The top tube has been lowered, the seat tube moved forward and flattened. A frame weight of just 3.5 kilograms (size M, anodized, without shock) and a bottom bracket height of 22 millimetres above the axle make the AFR a fun bike that feels at home both in parks and on downhill trails. The AFR also comes with a Hammerschmidt adapter and a 12 millimeter thru-axle at the rear as standard.
