With the new Wild, Orbea has fundamentally redesigned its Full-Power eMTB. The development focused not solely on maximum motor power, but on riding control, handling, and the direct connection between rider and trail. According to Orbea, the bike was further refined on the racetrack and is designed to offer greater safety, precision, and traction—especially on challenging trails.

A key feature is the low center of gravity.

By selecting the right drive system and optimizing the design around the motor, Orbea was able to position the shock, upper pivot, and top tube lower. The centralized and low-slung mass is intended to make the Wild more stable at high speeds while simultaneously improving freedom of movement on the bike. This is complemented by the “Steep-n-Deep” concept, featuring Vario seatposts that can be lowered significantly.

For its suspension, the Wild incorporates elements from Orbea’s Rallon enduro platform. The active kinematics, 170 millimeters of rear travel, and a progressive curve are designed to absorb hard impacts, provide predictable support, and increase traction. At the same time, pedal kickback is reduced, which should be particularly noticeable on rough terrain and at high speeds.

Orbea’s exclusive RS Tune plays a central role. Although the Wild uses the Avinox M2S motor, the riding experience is defined by Orbea’s own tuning. This is designed to make the motor respond more sensitively to pedaling force and pedal movements. As a result, assistance is available exactly when it’s needed on steep and technical climbs. The system is designed to enable more precise control, especially when starting off on a hill or during ratcheting.

The motor delivers up to 130 Newton-meters of torque, and up to 150 Newton-meters with Superboost. This is intended to combine powerful assistance with a natural and easily controllable response.

The bike can be customized via the MyOrbea program. You can choose between a 600-Wh battery for lower weight and greater agility or an 800-Wh battery for additional range. The RS Ecosystem integrates motor control, ride data, and other functions. The RS-HMI control unit also allows riders to control the MC10-RS Smart Dropper and the optional FOX eNeo shock from the handlebars.

The new Wild is available as an OMR Carbon version and a High-Polish Alloy model. According to Orbea, both platforms are designed to offer the same performance characteristics. The design is complemented by practical details such as the Fully Loaded Pivot with magnetically secured Allen keys, sealed bearings, and Second Skin frame protection.
