Race Face makes a new start

The parts manufacturer Race Face, which fell into insolvency and bankruptcy in March 2011, has found a new investor and averted its demise. The component manufacturer can continue as former Race Face employee Chris Tutton is buying up the company.

As Race Face reports in a press release, Chris Tutton - the new owner of Race Face - has been with the Canadian component manufacturer since 1994, first as a customer service representative and from 1998 as deputy sales director.

In 2008, Tutton moved to Easton Bell Sports. According to Tutton, the aim is to create a close connection between Easton Bell Sports and Race Face in order to create synergies in the personnel and technical areas.

The Swiss importer Chris Sports from Münchwilen is delighted with the news. "Chris Tutton is a long-standing friend and business partner of ours. We will discuss the new situation with Chris over the next few weeks and redefine any further collaboration," confirms Chrigel Bättig, owner of Chris Sports.

Products that are in stock at Chris Sports will be delivered to specialist retailers as usual. Chris Sports will continue to provide warranty and other services as part of its existing operations.
