Ride N° 80: Clear the way for high alpine mountain bike adventures!

The July issue of Ride brings a whole load of high alpine mountain bike tours. These include, for example, the Saflisch Pass from Fiesch to Brig. Also included is the Haute Route Graubünden, perhaps one of the most challenging, but also one of the most impressive mountain tours in Switzerland. And finally, Ride was out and about in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, where it produced an impressive report from the Senes region.

The warm temperatures in the mountains have put an end to the last patches of snow - clear the way for high alpine mountain bike adventures! The Saflisch Pass is one of the great Valais classics with a fantastic descent directly into the historic town center of Brig. If you want to test your limits, turn the page to the Haute Route in Graubünden. The route leads from the Julier Pass to Klosters and is a challenge - both on the climbs and the descents. It is a route of great emotions. The line-up for the July edition also includes the Sennes-Joch near St. Vigil. The route leads through the middle of the overcrowded Dolomites into solitude with an imposing backdrop of Fanes, Seekofel and Drei Zinnen.

A good dose of wanderlust is also included thanks to a fantastic trip to Lapland. In the autumn months, Finland lights up in a unique sea of colors, while the first northern lights can already be seen at night. A report based on the motto: "I have to go there!"

Every Ride issue naturally also includes background reports. It gets personal: the July issue portrays former top mountain bikers and shows how they stay involved in the sport even without a race number. In addition, a story analyzes the development of mountain bike regions over the last twenty years and comes to the conclusion: everyone goes through the same phases and always makes the same mistakes.

The issue is available in stores from today, Thursday (July 7 2022).
