Stoneman" discovers Switzerland

The "Stoneman" has come to Valais this summer. Because what works in the Dolomites and the Ore Mountains also works in the Aletsch region. The concept is simple: whoever masters the 127-kilometre and 4700-metre elevation gain in one day receives the golden Stoneman award. For two days it is silver, for three days bronze. However, the focus is not primarily on performance but on the nature and trail experience.

The Valais Stoneman version rides around Fiesch through the Aletsch region and was opened on July 29. It can be booked in three versions. The basic version (29 francs) includes all route data and the list of finishers. The Stone version (39 francs) builds on this and also includes a commemorative stone, while the Complete version (59 francs) includes the official finisher trophy, which can be combined with the other Stoneman offers in South Tyrol and the Ore Mountains. You will spend the night in one of the 18 partner hotels along the route. The Stoneman Glaciara can be ridden until the beginning of November.
