Swiss Cup season start is slowed down by the virus

Event cancellations due to the coronavirus have not stopped at mountain biking. The latest victim is the start of the Proffix Swiss Bike Cup, the Tamaro Trophy in Rivera. A postponement date is now being considered.

The Tamaro Trophy will not take place on the planned date of March 21/22. Due to the spread of the coronavirus, the authorities have banned the organization of large events with over 1000 people. "We very much regret that we now have to cancel the Tamaro Trophy after all, but the health of race participants, helpers and the general public naturally comes first," explain the local Tamaro Trophy organizer and series organizer Human Sports Management AG together.

Postponed is not canceled, and so a catch-up date is being sought despite the busy race calendar. Discussions with the UCI have already begun.

Human Sports Management AG will provide information on the further administrative procedure within a month.
