Postponed due to Corona: Sea Otter Festival

It was supposed to take place from April 15 to 19, but the seasonal kick-off for the public bike shows has been postponed. The new date has not yet been set. The NAHBS bike framing trade fair has already been postponed from March to August.

Frank Yohannan, President and CEO of the Sea Otter Festival, announced: "After a thorough review of the coronavirus threat, we've decided to reschedule April's Sea Otter Classic. Additionally, People for Bikes and Sea Otter Classic will reschedule the Bicycle Leadership Conference. We are coordinating with local authorities to determine the best dates to host the 2020 Sea Otter Classic and Bicycle Leadership Conference. We anticipate announcing those dates by the middle of next week."

Also affected by the coronavirus is the NAHBS, the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. This was to take place from March 20 to 22 in Dallas, Texas. While no new date has been announced for the Sea Otter Festival, the NAHBS organizers have announced that the event will take place August 21-23 in Dallas, Texas.
