Poc Velocity Shorts

First impression
The unisex Velocity shorts are designed for downhill use. They have a wide cut so that there is sufficient freedom of movement when wearing knee protectors and crash pants. If you use the shorts with normal inner shorts, they also offer plenty of room for a larger backside. As is usual for DH pants, the outer material is very robust and additionally reinforced with a waterproof fabric at the bottom. The trousers have two front and two side pockets and a secret pocket at the rear hem. The waistband can be adjusted over a large area using two Velcro fasteners.

In use
The loose cut of the Poc shorts is combined with a 4-way stretch fabric and allows plenty of freedom of movement when pedaling. The brushed fabric on the inside keeps you warm on cold days. The side pockets can be used as ventilation slits or to store your cell phone.

Conclusion
Whether for visiting a bike park or for use on damp and cool days, the Poc Velocity provides good protection from the elements and in the event of falls. It is not restrictive and scores points with its many pockets for carrying small items. Thanks to the DWR treatment of the outer material and the waterproof fabric at the back, the pants can also withstand light rain showers.

Ion MTB pants Scrub women

First impression
The Scrub is a lightweight softshell pant. The 4-way stretch fabric has a robust Cordura material on the right lower leg. To ensure a good fit, a very elastic rip material has been sewn in directly below the waistband. The waistband can also be adjusted using two Velcro fasteners on the inside. The right-hand of the two classic front pockets has an additional inner pocket for bank cards or small change. Due to the very classic cut of the trousers, women with a fuller bottom should choose a size larger. If the trouser legs are then too long, they can easily be rolled up.

In use
When biking, the Ion trousers score points for their good fit at the hips and waist. They also keep out strong winds well and are pleasantly warm on cold days. The Scrub is not designed for rainy days, as it lets water through quickly. Unfortunately, the Velcro fastener at the fly is too "snappy". It likes to get caught in the stretch material. After just a few rides, the stitching has already worn out. This also applies to the Velcro on the waist width adjustment, which "catches" on the inside of the outer material during washing and roughens it.

Conclusion
Thanks to the very stretchy fabric, the trousers fit round bottoms and thick thighs well. On cool days, the Ion Scrub keeps you nice and warm. They offer plenty of freedom of movement and are not restrictive. Hopefully, future models will have a "weaker" Velcro fastener.

SQ-Short One10 Women

First impression
The main fabric of the One10 shorts is perforated over the entire surface to guarantee maximum air permeability. The material consists of 75 percent recycled nylon and a quarter elastane. The underpants are explicitly adapted to the female body shape. The wide waistband is doubled, slightly slanted and overlaps towards the navel. This shape means the waistband follows the female anatomy and hugs the waist without folding over or cutting in. The leg lengths are also shorter than the unisex version of the One10. This has the advantage that the bib does not protrude under short-cut bike shorts. The eight millimeter thick seat pad is rather firm and consists of a dense yet breathable foam. The pad contains an orthopaedic TPE gel. This should greatly reduce the shear forces that occur when pedaling. The One10 is available in sizes from XS to 4XL.

In use
As the waistband only has a sewn-in elastic band at the back and just an overlapping stretch band at the front, the trousers fit extremely comfortably. This also makes the pants very easy to pull down, which is a great advantage when peeing in the great outdoors. The dark padding has the advantage that - if the days come a little earlier than expected - no permanently visible marks are left behind. The bib also boasts very high breathability. Even when sweating heavily, they do not become saturated. The very comfortable fabric feels good on the skin and the waistband cuffs do not slip even after 10 hours of use. The silicone rubber coating leaves no blisters or allergic reactions in the event of heavy sweating.

Conclusion
The women's version of the One10 shorts from Sqlab is an absolute top inner short without any weaknesses. Thanks to the high elasticity of the outer material and sizes up to 4XL, they also fit very large buttocks.

Patagonia W's Dirt Roamer Storm Jacket

First impression
The "Dirt Roamer Storm" is designed as a slip-on jacket with a zipper that extends to the middle of the stomach. There are two long mesh-backed ventilation slits with two-way zippers on the sides. There is a storage compartment at the back, which can be turned inside out and used as a pannier. The over-helmet hood can be adjusted using the drawstring. Velcro fasteners on the cuffs prevent wind from entering. In addition, the cut on the top of the hand is slightly longer for better overlap with the gloves. Unfortunately, the edging only has a weak elastic band that cannot be adjusted in width. The stretchy 3-layer material has a PFC-free DWR impregnation. The jacket has abrasion-resistant reinforcements on the forearms, shoulders and the longer hem at the back. The Dirt Roamer is available in five sizes and two colors.

In use
Thanks to its low weight, the jacket is very comfortable to wear. To take it with you, it can be stowed in the pack compartment or rolled up into the hood and tied around the waist with the sleeves. The shoulder/chest area has a more generous cut than standard rain jackets on the market. This means that it does not constrict women with pronounced back muscles, broad shoulders and/or a large chest, and the chest does not stand out noticeably under the fabric and is therefore not visually emphasized.

The hood can be easily pulled over the helmet and does not restrict the view. The raised collar extends over the chin and offers optimum protection in very nasty weather. And without the zipper chafing unpleasantly.

Anita Active Dynamix Star bra

First impression
The "Dynamix Star" is a little awkward to put on, as only the lower support band can be opened and the x-shaped shoulder straps are firmly sewn. It takes some dexterity to attach the fastening hooks to the back. The effort is quickly forgotten, as the wearing comfort is exceptionally high. The soft fabric feels pleasant against the skin. Thanks to the center panel at the front, the bust retains its natural shape and is not squeezed. The straps are adjusted in length at the front with hooks, eliminating the need for annoying plastic and metal parts at the back. The padded shoulder straps are positioned away from the neck to prevent tension. The back is lined with a quick-drying Cool-Max mesh. A mesh insert in the center front serves as an additional ventilation zone and makes the neckline appear lower.

In use
The sports bra provides optimum support for large breasts (80E) even on very rough trails. Women who sweat a lot benefit from the quick-drying and highly breathable material, which does not absorb moisture and fits comfortably against the body.

Conclusion
The "Anita Active Dynamix Star" offers optimum support for large breasts and is extremely comfortable to wear. Even after countless hours in the saddle, it feels comfortable on the body and dries very quickly after sweaty rides.
