Water bottles are among the most unassuming pieces of bike gear—until they start to smell. Fabric aims to solve exactly this problem with the new Gripper V2. What makes it special: An antimicrobial agent is embedded directly into the plastic material and is designed to permanently prevent mold as well as unpleasant odors and tastes.

The Gripper V2 is based on the existing design of its predecessor. The bottle body is soft and easy to squeeze, while the textured surface on the neck is designed to provide a secure grip—even with wet or sweaty hands. It also features a high flow rate through the silicone valve.

Fabric also aims to enhance durability visually. Instead of printed graphics, the Fabric logo is embossed directly into the plastic. This means it can’t get scratched or start to peel off after a few months. The Gripper V2 is available in 600 and 750 milliliters. There are six colors to choose from.

The difference, however, lies in the material: The antimicrobial protection isn’t simply a coating that wears off over time, but is an integral part of the plastic. Fabric therefore promises a bottle that will remain free of unpleasant odors and tastes throughout its entire lifespan.
