"It's the first time that I haven't had to ride over this jump in front of someone else," explains Mark Matthews. The other one is called Weston Lukens, is ten years old and is riding a 24-inch freerider. He sails over the 50-foot drop as if he were jumping off a 1-meter springboard. The freeride pro is speechless and his father stands impassively by and films.

The videos of the boy from Florida are reminiscent of those of Jackson Goldstone, who also shredded over the toughest tracks and the fattest jumps as a three-year-old, as if the whole thing were a softly padded bouncy castle.

Weston Lukens can obviously handle tricky heels as well as high speed and massive kickers and drops. A pro line in the Whistler Bike Park? His brother Camden, who is four years older, pales into insignificance next to the ten-year-old from Florida, although he is also a huge talent. Weston is currently enjoying all the media fame. Now he just has to keep enjoying riding, then nothing stands in the way of a career as a freeride pro. And maybe that will be enough for his big brother too. 

And last but not least, five-year-old Emery is one of the triobehindbars. She rides trails like a normal, motivated ten-year-old.
