Trail tip for the weekend: Portail de Fully

You want sunshine and trails to ride? That could finally become a reality again this weekend. The weather forecast promises sunshine and warm temperatures, perfect for the tour over the Portail de Fully, the singletrail highlight high above Martigny.

The singletrail classic on the Portail de Fully in Valais gets off to an exciting start in the valley. In Dorénaz, you take the small gondola lift up to Champex, and the bikes are hung upside down under the gondola. Nevertheless, you still need to put in enough effort to master the spectacular crossing, steeply above Martigny. The view over the valley floor and the glacier mountains to the south invites you to take a breather before heading to the highlight of the tour - the wonderful high-altitude trail and the seemingly endless trail descent.

The weather for Martigny at the weekend

On Saturday, there will initially be some residual cloud cover, but it will be mostly sunny in Valais and on Lake Geneva. In the afternoon, spring clouds may appear, but these will hardly bring any showers. In the lowlands, temperatures will be around 14 degrees in the early morning and 27 degrees in the afternoon. A moderate north-easterly wind will blow and the zero degree line will rise towards 4000 meters.
