Crans Montana has long enjoyed an excellent reputation in Swiss gravity circles. Internationally, however, the mountain biking qualities of the well-known winter sports destination are less well known. However, this is set to change in the coming years, starting with the Enduro World Series for e-mountain bikers and mountain bikers, followed by the UCI World Cups and World Championships.
Thanks to its south-facing exposure, the region offers, with few exceptions, trails that can be ridden all year round and access to the mountain railroads. For this reason alone, the venue for the eighth EWS stop in 2021 is considered weatherproof, even in the event of a late summer snowfall.

The fact that, after two races in Zermatt, a top-level enduro race will be held in Switzerland again in 2021 also pleases the Swiss pros.
"What a great surprise! After being able to ride an EWS race in Zermatt in the past two years, we didn't expect to be able to ride a home race again this year. The joy of racing a World Series race on the incredible trails around Crans Montana is all the greater! The region offers a huge amount of biking fun, so we can hardly wait to go full throttle there," say Anita and - Carolin Gehrig unanimously.

Although Gusti Wildhaber hardly knows Crans Montana, the current best Swiss enduro rider is also looking forward to breathing in the local racing air: "I hardly know the trails there, but I've heard a lot of good things. And I think it's great that we can ride another EWS race in Switzerland - I'm really looking forward to it!"

"It's great to have the EWS back in our country! Crans Montana is a great place with beautiful trails in the bike park. I don't really know the enduro trails there, but I hope that they will include a few proper bike park stages," adds Maxime Chapuis.

And Enduro World Series organizer Chris Ball also expressed his enthusiasm for the new addition to the race calendar: "We're really excited to be bringing the race series to Crans Montana! The variety of trails amidst the stunning scenery of the Swiss Alps provides riders with an incredible backdrop for racing and is a welcome addition to this packed calendar."
