The start to the winter season on Chur's local mountain Brambrüesch was promising for snow sports enthusiasts, with the valley floor also shining white a week before Christmas. However, the warm temperatures and rain put an end to the snow. One man's joy is another man's sorrow, and now it's the mountain bikers' turn. On the lower section of the "Alpenbikepark", between the Känzeli middle station and Chur, the trails are free of snow and officially open from Sunday, December 25, 2022. As the mountain railroads have started daily operations, nothing stands in the way of riding fun. Bike operations will continue until the next snowfall, so with the current weather forecasts, the season could last a while longer.
