Nomad – ein alter Klassiker neu geboren
Santa Cruz has redesigned the third version of the Nomad carbon frame from the ground up. More suspension travel, better responsiveness and a new geometry are just some of the updates for more riding fun. The classic has also been given a facelift with larger wheels. Thanks to the steering angle flattened to 65 degrees, this bike offers the handling of the downhill racer "V10" at high speeds. The upper rocker arm is now also similar to that of the V10, which increases the suspension travel to 165 millimetres and makes the rear triangle even more responsive.
The frame is designed exclusively for drivetrains with a chainring. This means that the lower rocker arm can be integrated into the bottom bracket area, which allows significantly shorter chainstays. In combination with an approximately 25 millimeter longer reach (horizontal distance between the middle of the crank and the middle of the head tube), this results in the perfect combination to enjoy the smoothest ride at full speed. A steeper seat tube angle is also part of the fundamental revision. This means that these fun bikes can be efficiently pedaled back up the mountain to the next descent.
As always with carbon, it's the inner values that count. The guides running through the main frame are so cleverly designed that it's almost a shame you don't get to see them. Thin carbon tubes run the full length of the frame, making it easy and hassle-free to change cables and hoses. Santa Cruz packs the whole thing in either a subtle black or an aqua/magenta combination. This includes a color-matched suspension fork and stickers on the wheels.
As usual, Santa Cruz also offers a five-year warranty on the frame as well as a lifetime warranty on the bearings of the rear triangle and an accident replacement program.
