Santa Cruz bringt das Nomad als Mullet
Whether it's conquering gaps, mountains or borders, the Nomad collects countless air miles and Elevation loss for every millimeter of travel. It has 170mm of travel on the 38mm fork and 170mm of VPP™ suspension at the rear. It turns big hits into small problems and the roughest rock gardens into recreational areas. And since it still pedals very efficiently, the climb to the descent is not a chore, but a proven means to an end.
The main aim of the new Nomad 6 was to improve the sensitivity and grip of the suspension and at the same time increase support over the entire suspension travel. Smaller anti-squat values reduce pedal kickback on hard high-speed hits and at the same time improve the suspension's response to ensure full traction at any speed. Uphill and downhill. With a lower gear ratio, we were able to reduce the influence of the rider's weight on the geometry. And with a little less progression, the rear suspension works more evenly over the entire suspension travel. And because everyone likes to travel with hand luggage, the latest Nomad also has a glovebox in the down tube.
The chainstay length and seat angle change with the frame size (the rear triangle gets longer and the seat angle steeper), so that every rider, regardless of their height, gets the same balanced geometry and suitable riding characteristics. And to improve the ride quality even further, the frame stiffness also changes with the frame size thanks to an adapted carbon layup (larger frames are stiffer), as larger riders put more stress on the frames.
The legendary Santa Cruz workmanship, the high-quality construction, the proven lifetime warranty and the service-friendliness of the frame make it the perfect companion for long, wild road trips.
