The first Bikefestival Freiburg took place in mid-May 2013 and attracted 400 cyclists from Freiburg and the surrounding area. The very positive feedback after the event and the unexpectedly high number of visitors led to the decision to repeat the Bikefestival in 2014.

The festival, which is open on Saturday and Sunday from 10 am, is supported by the Ganter brewery, the Baden FM radio station and the MTB travel specialists from Beitune and Hirsch-Sprung. The two riding schools will be offering free guided tours of the nearby Rosskopf and Kybfelsen mountains at the festival. Of course, there will be a flea market again this year: on Sunday, second-hand items can be sold on the sales areas provided without prior registration. On Saturday, there will be a retro contest in which all cyclists can take part and present not only their best piece, but also the matching outfit to the jury of prominent cyclists and tinkerers from the early days. Last but not least, various exhibitors have once again signed up, with a number of test bikes, including from Cannondale and GT, available on both days.www.bikefestival-freiburg.com
