The Black Forest town of Freiburg is something of a trail Mecca in Germany. Various first-class trails lead from the surrounding mountains directly down to the city center. They have names such as "Badish Moon Rising", "Boarderline", "Canadian" or "Baden to the Bone". But the Freiburg hinterland, i.e. the entire southern Black Forest, is also an interesting corner for mountain bikers. Hinterzarten, Titi- and Schluchsee, Müllheim with Blauen and Belchen, the Feldberg near Todtnau. These bike spots are only a stone's throw away from Freiburg. The city center of Freiburg is also attractive with its many bars, cafés and restaurants. A great spot for a weekend - or, as is already the case for many newcomers, as a place to live.

Arrival by public transport

Traveling to Freiburg by train is very easy, as the town is located on the ICE Basel-Frankfurt line. The train station is located right on the edge of the city center, from where all of the region's major bike routes can be accessed. The station is also a good starting point to take the regional train to routes in other regions such as Titisee, the Müllheim region or north towards Offenburg.

Arrival by car

Freiburg is located in the southern Rhine Valley and is easily accessible via the A5 Rhine highway from Basel or Karlsruhe.
