Kybfelsen – Canadian

Canadian-Trail (Freiburg)

The tour leads from Freiburg up to the Kybfelsen rock with great views over the Rhine Valley and then back down into the Dreisamtal valley on a fun and fast descent. The basis is the "Canadian", a bike trail built by Canadians.

Description

Forest paths and trails take you from Wiere station on the outskirts of Freiburg up to the Kybfelsen, where you can enjoy a magnificent view over the Rhine Valley. After the view comes the even better downhill fun! The trail meanders from the Kybfelsensattel to the Sternwaldwiese on the outskirts of Freiburg with lots of berms, jumps and waves. Beginners and advanced riders alike will get their money's worth here and with a length of around three kilometers and 500 Elevation loss, it offers a lot of fun. All jumps can be rolled over or have a bypass. Small signs indicate the larger jumps. The ground is compact, with a few roots and stones now and again.

Before the Kybfelsen there are some steeper uphill sections on the trail & then a short carrying section before the summit. There is also an ''official'' uphill to the Canadian, which is signposted.
