Der Aufstieg auf dem Kiesweg ist lang und hart. Hat man erst die Strasse erreicht, ist der Rest ein Kinderspiel. Oben auf dem Gipfel sind einige Wanderer, die mit der Gondelbahn hochgefahren sind. Wir haben uns gut mit ihnen verstanden obwohl wir das Gefühl hatten, dass sie nicht gewohnt sind, Biker anzutreffen.
Die Abfahrt war zuerst steinig. Je weiter runter man fährt, desto flowiger und waldiger wurde es. Die Trails muss man geniessen: Fast ohne Bremsen kann man durch den sich windenden Pfad rocken.
Den Aufstieg zum zweiten Teil lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, auch wenn die Beine protestieren! Auf einem Höhenweg der immer wieder rauf und runter geht haben wir alll unsere restlichen Kräft hineingesteckt. Geht es dann endlich nur noch runter, fängt der Genussteil erst an. Wir hatten eine Menge Spass am wunderschönen Trail der nie aufzuhören scheint!
Empfehlenswerte Tour. Die Trails waren aus unserer Sicht auf dem zweiten Teil (Gabler Eck) abwechslungsreicher als vom Belchen runter. Wir sind die Tour bei schönem Wetter am Sonntag 17. September gefahren. Im oberen Bereich begegneten wir ca. 10 Wandgruppen (meist zu zweien). Beim zweiten Teil aufs Gabler Eck waren wir alleine.
Übernachtet haben wir im Hotel Adler (Münstertal) und das Auto am Morgen direkt beim Bahnhof Staufen abgestellt und mit der Bahn nach Münstertal gefahren.
Wunderschöne Tour. Sonntags auf dem Gipfel viel los und ganz oben gibt es wohl ein Bikeverbot. Hier würde ich ab dem Belchenhaus links direkt in den Trail abbiegen oder zu Fuss auf den Gipfel. Trail anfangs noch paar nette Wurzeln und dann immer schneller werdend. 4 Wanderer begegnet, freundlich gegrüsst und angehalten. Hilft überall. Aussicht auf Vogesen, Jura und Alpen einmalig...
Ich bin die Tour am 24. Juli 2022 gefahren: ein Prachts-Sonntag mit besten Wanderbedingungen. Um ca. 10 Uhr in die Abfahrt gestartet und bis Neumühle nur gerade fünf Personen angetroffen. Auf dem Trail vom Gabler Eck war dann gar niemand mehr. Also halb so wild mit den Wanderern! Insgesamt eine Hammer-Route.
