The change in operating hours is due to the fact that the gondola lift will be classified as public transport in future, i.e. as an official feeder from the valley floor to Verbier, 500 meters higher up. The cable car will therefore now be in continuous operation for over 18 hours a day - including bike transport. The change also means that the Half-Fare travelcard, GA travelcard and bike pass are valid on the route.
