Schwarzwaldstraße 12 in Freiburg is now the place to go for customers of the sports and streetwear brand Maloja in neighboring Breisgau: at the end of March, the label from Bavaria opened a new flagship store in the Baden metropolis with a view of the mountains. For Maloja founder and Managing Director Klaus Haas, who grew up in the Black Forest himself, this is the fulfillment of a long-held wish: "Of course it's something special to open a flagship store not far from my home town. It feels a bit like coming home."

Freiburg has been one of the Chiemgau-based company's most interesting locations for another store in Germany for some time. The fact that the city in Breisgau has now actually been chosen for the seventh flagship store clearly shows the importance Maloja attaches to the region. "We know that we have many fans in the southwest of Baden-Württemberg. With the store in Freiburg, we are now offering them the opportunity to immerse themselves even more in the world of Maloja. In addition to functional clothing for biking, climbing, hiking, cross-country skiing, ski touring, freeriding and, of course, simply being outdoors, Bergblick also stocks the complete streetwear collection," explains Peter Räuber, founder and Managing Director as well as the creative head of Maloja.

The flagship store is managed by Claudia and Matthias Pfeil. The two from Freiburg are passionate endurance athletes themselves and therefore have a lot of experience in the field of functional clothing. Claudia Pfeil has also worked in various positions in the textile retail sector for over ten years. "This is a small dream come true for us: we have been enthusiastic customers of the Maloja brand for many years. Being able to represent them now as franchisees with a flagship store is a very nice feeling," emphasize Claudia and Matthias Pfeil.

The company from Rimsting in Upper Bavaria supplies over 900 retailers worldwide. In addition to the flagship stores in Aschau, Oberstdorf, Wiesbaden, Freiburg, Innsbruck and Seoul, Maloja also operates its own company store in Munich.
