A 57-year-old man from the canton of Zug was on the route to San Romerio with two friends on Sunday. On the descent, the man riding at the back came off the trail and fell down a slope. The two mountain bikers in front of him only noticed he was missing later when they stopped. They turned around but only found his bike.

The air rescue team that was alerted later found the casualty below a rock face around sixty meters below the trail. They were subsequently only able to determine that the casualty had died.
