To be precise: Currently, the route network of the Ride Trail Map covers exactly 205,152 kilometers, an increase of 7% compared to the previous year. This means that the amount of map data has more than doubled within five years.

The Ride Trail Map emerged from the Singletrail Maps, which have shaped mountain biking in Switzerland for twenty years. With the integration into the Ride cosmos, the coverage of the maps has now expanded throughout the Alps and selected other regions.

Numbers speak louder than words

In 2024, the route network has grown in three regions in particular: in Baden-Württemberg with a focus on Stuttgart and the Swabian Alb, on the Spanish Costa Brava between Barcelona and Girona and on the entire island of Tenerife. Broken down by country, the Ride Trail Map now covers the following dimensions:

• Switzerland: 78,000 km
• Italy: 65,000 km
• Germany: 28,000 km
• Austria: 13,000 km
• Spain: 11,000 km
• France: 11,000 km

The route presentation system has remained the same since the early years. Based on the difficulty of the ski slopes, the routes on the Ride Trail Map are marked in blue (easy), red (medium) and black (difficult). The scheme has been supplemented by the color purple for extremely challenging sections.

The web application of the Ride Trail Map and thus the entire route network is freely accessible to all subscribers. For selected regions, the maps are also still available in printed form: ride-mtb.com/shop
