At the end of June, René Wildhaber invited five motivated bikers from the Digger community to shovel, saw, screw and shape with the aim of building a jump training facility on the Prodalp plateau at 1576 meters, between the Redfox and Bluesalamander bike trails. As is so often the case this early summer, thunderstorms were forecast for the two-day work assignment on Saturday and persistent rain showers for Sunday. Thanks to the flexibility of the programme at the start and the unexpected sunshine at the end, it was possible to work in the dry for the most part.

IMBA Switzerland visits 

Andy Stalder, President of the International Mountain Bike Association Switzerland (IMBA Switzerland), explained how the national umbrella organization works together with the cantonal and local clubs to promote attractive, sustainable and safe bike trails. He emphasized why mountain bikers should become active in maintaining and developing their trails through their local or cantonal community. In addition to his presentation, Andy also actively helped with the construction.

Daily biking fun until October 20, 2024

The drop battery is now available to all bikers, in addition to the four trails. During the summer and fall vacations, all trails are in continuous operation - without a lunch break. The BikerShop Flumserberg powered by intercycle offers a wide range of products and rents out bikes and e-bikes from BiXS, NS Bikes and Transalpes as well as protectors and helmets from iXS. The catering establishments are happy to welcome bikers even in the current dirty weather conditions.
