With the woom NOW, Austrian children's and youth bike manufacturer Woom is launching a bike for the urban lifestyle that is as eye-catching as it is extraordinary: The new woom bike is a lightweight and fully equipped bike with a new type of frame architecture and special features. Inspired by the aesthetics of the world of bicycle couriers, the woom NOW combines an integrated front rack with a smaller front wheel. This looks stylish and makes the ride safe and stable, even with luggage.

Like all woom bikes, the woom NOW is tailored precisely to the needs and anatomy of children and built in proven woom quality. Fully equipped for road use (including lights and hub dynamo, hydraulic disc brakes and balloon tires suitable for cobblestones), the woom NOW is the ideal means of transport for the urban lifestyle - and its lightness and high-quality design guarantee a good time with friends or family. The bike is available in three sizes (20/16, 24/20 and 26/20 inches), suitable for kids and teens aged 6 to 14 years.

Woom NOW: the development story

"Many woom customers have asked for a bike that is perfectly tailored to the mobility needs of their children in everyday life. The woom NOW is our answer. It's a cool bike for the city and enables children to get around by bike," says Matthias Leite-Gürtner, Head of the Product Design Team: "Even if they have a rucksack, shopping bag or sports bag with them." Woom-NOW Product Manager Raffael Zimmel confirms: "We wanted to produce a bike that is as cool as a mountain bike and is perfect for the big city."

The development team spent over two years tinkering and thinking about what the new generation needs from an urban bike: "Good transportation options, good mudguards so that the outfit doesn't get dirty and a light that is always available and doesn't need to be charged. The small front wheel also makes you more maneuverable in the city," says Zimmel. "We are targeting young urban people who value independence and freedom."

Woom NOW: the features

1. new frame geometry: A front luggage rack integrated into the aluminum frame allows the transport of luggage up to 10 kg. Together with the smaller front wheel, this results in a lower center of gravity. This optimizes handling, even with a load. The frame geometry has been adapted for transporting luggage with a view to maneuverability in the city and an upright sitting position for the best overview in traffic.

2. well thought-out down to the last detail: woom product developers spent over two years designing the bike and all the details. A few examples:

• The plastic shell in the luggage carrier prevents straps or straps from backpacks from getting into the spokes. If necessary, the shell can also be unscrewed to transport skateboards, for example.
A practical frame bag - the Identity Bag - offers additional space and can be personalized with a customizable label.
• A twist grip bell for quick and easy ringing, headlight protected from damage and protected rear light

4. fully equipped for urban areas: features such as permanently mounted mudguards, a centrally mounted kickstand, a pre-mounted twist grip bell, a hub dynamo and a powerful lighting system make the woom NOW - out of the box - StVO (Austria) and StVZO (Germany) compliant. The front headlight is well protected under the luggage rack. The twist grip bell located directly next to the handle is intuitive to operate. The wide Schwalbe Big Apple balloon tires dampen cobblestones and don't get stuck in streetcar tracks.

5. hydraulic disc brakes: The easy-to-operate hydraulic flat-mount disc brakes in combination with the child-friendly brake levers (for short finger reach) increase safety and control.
