Micrometer-thick TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is processed in seven layers for the Conti hose, thereby achieving the best possible airtightness and durability. The hoses remain uncolored to ensure the desired material quality and to avoid unwanted pressure loss, which can be caused by coloration-related surface defects. Each ContiTPU hose is subjected to a manual quality control after production.
