Ride Camp Flims

A spectacular experience at the Ride Camp in Flims: none other than the Kisten Pass is on the itinerary. The wonderful Flem-Lodge, run by Caro and Anita Gehrig—who will also be joining us on the tours—serves as our base. 

Flims is no stranger to great trails, but it’s usually the built downhill trails that have grabbed the spotlight. One of the absolute highlights, however, is the Kisten Pass from the Grisons Oberland to the Glarus region. It has become known as an international influencer hotspot. These influencers usually travel without mountain bikes, but in this case, they’re missing out on one of the best mountain bike routes in the Eastern Alps. 

The camp itinerary also includes the mountain railway-assisted route up to the Vorab Glacier with its fantastic slickrock sections, plus the little-known tour to Tenner Chrüz on the opposite side of the valley. At the Ride Camp, we combine this route with a ride through the world-famous Rhine Gorge.

PrerequisitesA solid S3 skill level is required for the camp. In terms of fitness, the itinerary includes tours with up to 1,300 meters of elevation gain. At the Kisten Pass, there is a section where you’ll need to carry your bike downhill through a narrow, steep, and rope-secured passage.
