Vorab
Description
In Laax Murschetg, you ride up a few meters to the left of the mountain railroad and circle the "Uaul Ravanasc" on the south side. Later you reach the village of Falera, where the actual ascent begins: 1000 meters of hard climbing to Crap Sogn Gion. The first part leads into Val Dado on an asphalted mountain road, then a forest path takes you to Alp Tegia Sut. A single trail and a steep alpine path, which is almost unrideable at times, take you up to Crap Sogn Gion. It is advisable to skip this part of the tour and take the cable car to the summit. Follow an alpine road over the "Crest la Siala" ridge to Crap Masegn and continue on a singletrail past Fuorcla Sagogn towards the Vorab glacier. The last part of the ascent then leads along a well-maintained little road to the Vorab station. The long singletrail descent begins here. The path, marked as a hiking trail, leads past the Camana Vorab to Sogn Martin. From here, follow the alpine road to the left for a short distance until the Nagens Trail crosses the road. This trail and the continuation of it finally lead to the Runca Trail, which forms the final section of the long descent. Laax Murschetg is then reached on gravel paths via Prau la Selva and Staderas.

The tour is beautiful, but I strongly recommend taking the train for the climbs. As an alternative, you can also take the train from Flims to Nagens (tip: there is even a post bus that rides up to Nagens), then take the gravel path up to the Vorab.
The Vorab Trail is sensational! At the top, the trail meanders over polished stone slabs, then challenging single trails in the middle, followed by the Nagens trail at the bottom with many challenging passages but also flowing sections. At the very end is the Runca trail with its countless berms. Truly a top tour that has it all!
Checked 2022 Beautiful tour and thanks to the higher altitude very pleasant temperatures despite the heatwave. Currently in top condition.
Great tour, which is easy to master with the support of the cable car. However, the winter sports infrastructure clearly dominates the landscape in the upper section... Beware, you should check your GPS often on the trail. The trail does not always follow the other bike tracks :-)

Great tour with or without e-support, but you should be prepared for a bit of "pushing the bike up", but these are only short distances... If you ride the whole tour, you need a lot of grains, even with the ascent aid there are still a few meters of altitude to be destroyed over a rather short distance, which means sometimes quite steep...
The descent is pure enjoyment, many natural trails with some challenges, but for experienced bikers absolutely no problem, just fun.
The hiking trail from Crap Masegn down to Fuorcla da Sagogn is exposed and barely rideable. We rode back from the summit about 200m on the ascent route and bypassed Crap Masegn on the eastern route - quite fun.
On the descent from the Vorab mountain station, we tried an alternative route. At point 2400 we continued straight on instead of heading towards Nagens. Camona Vorab - Plaun Cumin - Sogn Martin - Plaun (short stretch on gravel road) - then turn back onto the original route. The trail alternates between very flowy passages and somewhat more technical elements.
Ditto, we did the descent from the summit of Crap Masegn today, but only the last few meters of altitude were rideable, before that partly not without danger even with the bike on our shoulders...
Like you, we simply missed point 2400, as it was not clear when to turn off and there were no signposts or trail markings to be seen... but still a very beautiful and varied tour!
Hello everyone, a great tour, tough but beautiful. Unfortunately there are no mountain inns open on the whole Laax side in summer. So take plenty of drinks with you, it gets better from the Vorabgletscher onwards. In my opinion only a small detail, but the photo does not belong to this tour. It must have been taken east of the Grauberg and will belong to the Segnas tour :-)). Sorry for my "Tüpflischisseri".
