Tour Ladir Trails

The tour from Ilanz via Ladir and back combines some of the best single trails around the Grisons municipality of Ladir. Thanks to its length, this fantastic route is also ideal for a half-day tour.

Description

The short but fun route starts at Ilanz station. As soon as you leave the station area, you enter the first trail along the Vorderrhein. Below Castrisch, you cross the bridge to the other bank of the Rhine, which you follow again before the path forces you uphill. From here, the ascent via Schluein to Ladir begins, pleasant at first, then increasingly steeper shortly before Vintgins. The short uphill section of trail is rideable, but requires a good deal of energy. The biggest effort is done, now it's a more leisurely ride uphill again to the village of Ruschein and on to Ladir. Shortly before leaving the village, the route leads up the forest road via Prau Pastira, after which you reach the mountain road. A few meters downhill on this road, the trail fun begins below Cuolms da Ruschein and is interrupted in Ruschein for a few hundred meters. At the end of the village, the trail heads back into the terrain and relatively quickly past Tischinas, then becomes a little more challenging but also flowy all the way to Ilanz. The trail ends at the Dominican convent, and you return to Ilanz train station via the Quartierstrasse.

Rode it today (1.11.2023), it's a nice tour with a nice trail along the Rhine and a nice uphill in the forest. But the downhill is nothing special and ATTENTION you have to look for the entrance to the uppermost (and best) part.
