Lag da Laus
Description
From Sumvitg-Cumpadials station, you cycle to Cumpadials, after which the long climb begins. You ride on asphalt until after the small mountain village of Val, after which the surface changes to gravel. The mountain road climbs steadily up to the Naustgel Dado alp. However, you do not visit it, but turn into a singletrail a little before it. This initially rides gently uphill to a hunting lodge. The main ascent is done, now the trail flows along the slope towards the lake. The descent is easy at the start, but becomes much more demanding as it rides back into the forest and offers a short but steep challenge. The first descent ends with a few hundred meters of rough alpine trails, after which a wide alpine path rides up to Lag da Laus. Before the next descent really gets going, there are a few crisp climbs, once short but steep, carrying the bike. The descent takes you along the steep Pardomattobel, which is both technically demanding and fun. Then it's time to pedal again briefly to Mises Grond, where naturally flowing trails ride through the forest via Acla Su and Acla Dadens to Cavardiras. On the section between Acla Su and Dadens, the old trail route leads along the pastureland, where you should stick to the edge of the forest as much as possible until the trail leads back into the forest. After Cavardiras, there is another trail section, after which you cross the Vorderrhein and follow the beautiful but challenging riverside path back to Sumvitg.

We rode the tour yesterday. Very pleasant ascent to Pkt 1835, crossing to the Alp nice and rideable. Then from the forest through cattle trampled alpine path very rough. We walked practically everything. The path is very bad after the lake at the two subsequent stream beds (corresponding sign on the side of the path). However, the bike can be carried well for these few meters. Then a beautiful single trail on a marked bike trail, which leads over the road from point 1457. Unfortunately, we missed the counter-climb described there and went down the road instead. Too bad for the missed descent.
