Tur Lumnezia

The long circular tour through Val Lumnezia and Obersaxen encompasses the entire region and gives the best impression of the magnificent region. If you don't feel up to a route with over 2000 meters of altitude, shorten the route to suit your needs.

Description

The first few meters after Lumbrein you ride on the asphalt road towards Vrin, but then turn right and climb up to Alp da Lumbrein. A technical singletrail takes you down a few meters until the next ascent to Alp Nova begins after Val Gronda. Via Alp Nall you reach Alp Prada, the starting point of the asphalt descent towards Meierhof. After a flat section, a technically challenging single trail branches off to the right above the hamlet of Tristel. Follow this trail, keeping right after 220 meters in altitude to reach Miraniga. Climb up a few meters on an asphalt road, then turn left onto a rough alpine path, which soon turns into a single trail that you follow to the ski lift. Follow a mountain road around Piz Mundaun and turn right to Alp Bual. The following descent leads to the middle station of the mountain railroad, from where you reach Vella on a flowing singletrail. Ride through the village, following a gravel path towards Rumein, but then take the singletrail at a right-hand bend to below the village of Peiden. Continue along the mountain road down to the valley floor. Follow the mountain road to Uors and Surcasti and take a gravel path high above the Glennerbach stream to Silgin. You reach Surin on asphalted mountain roads and return to Lumbrein in this way.
