Pass Tiarms

On the Graubünden side of the Oberalp Pass, there are some first-class single trails that can be combined into a first-class mountain bike tour.

Description

Ideally, you should start the tour in Tschamut and follow the pass road towards the Oberalp Pass for a while. In the first right-hand hairpin bend, however, keep straight on and climb up a small mountain road towards Maighels. After 250 meters in altitude, the single trail to the Oberalp Pass branches off to the right. The trail has some tricky and steep sections where less experienced mountain bikers are better off walking a few meters. At the Oberalp Pass, you cross the main road and climb up to the Tiarms Pass on a goods road, where the next singletrail section begins. The path hugs the steep mountain flank here and leads into the valley. Ride downhill on the valley floor, reach an alpine road and follow it to the edge of the Tschamut protective forest. Several first-class singletrail descents back to Tschamut are hidden here.

The single trail towards the Oberalp Pass (from kilometer 5.3) is closed to bikers, you are no longer allowed to ride through it.

I went through that last week. And I haven't seen anything resembling a ban anywhere?

Comfortable tour option: We started this tour on the Oberalp Pass. The trails are in good condition and varied. We rode the train from Sedrun back up to the Oberalp and then enjoyed the descent to Andermatt. So less altitude and still lots of fun on the descents.
