Runca-Trail – Tamins
Description
The tour begins with the chairlift ride to Naraus. The start of the descent leads along a gravel road until the actual Runca Trail begins at the Flem stream. This winds its way smoothly and variedly to the Runca-Höhe and from there over numerous and easily rideable wooden structures to the Waldhaus part of the village of Flims. Normally the descent on the Runca Trail ends here, but not in this version. You now roll downhill on gravel roads to the idyllic Lake Cauma and then climb up to the Conn viewing platform with its wonderful view of the Rhine Gorge. Both places are ideal for a lunch break before the ride to Tamins begins. From Conn, you head primarily along single trails to the settlement of Pintrun, then climb a little further to Digg - from where you ride along the signposted mountain bike route on a mix of trails and gravel roads to Tamins.
Tip: Instead of getting on the Postauto-Tour back to Flims in Tamins, continue the tour to Chur. A wonderful single trail winds along the left bank of the Rhine to the outskirts of Chur.
