Glaspass
Description
The tour starts on the Glaspass, which can be reached from Thusis by post bus. Initially you ride downhill on a concrete road, a short ascent and then you head onto the singletrail to Safien Platz. The trail is technical, steep and rough but rideable. From Safien Platz, follow the mountain road out of the valley until a small reservoir appears on the right. Here you change sides and ride out of the valley on a singletrail. The old road occasionally rides through rocky sections and small tunnels. After a few kilometers, the trail widens and you finally ride on a forest path and later on a road to Sigl Ault. High above the Rhine gorge, a fantastic singletrail runs through the steep terrain. Finally, after a section of forest road, you reach the connecting road from Bonaduz to Versam. A little further on, the singletrail fun starts again. You pass the ruins of Wackenau and reach the village of Tamins on a cycle path. Behind the village square, the route climbs uphill a little, followed by a rapid descent to the banks of the Rhine. This is where the final bouquet begins with the fun single trail that rides directly along the banks of the Rhine all the way to Chur.

Trail at the very beginning is technically the most difficult. Would say S3. In Safienplatz, do not follow the GPS, but the recommendation of velorowdy (hiking trail to Egschi). Unfortunately, we didn't do that. Anyway, just enjoy the great scenery on the tarred and forest roads. This is usually neglected on the trails.
Be sure to ride to Chur at the end. It's worth it.
You won't find endless, challenging trails on this tour, but you will find plenty of variety and great scenery. I'm an absolute single trail fan and I still really enjoyed the tour.
I would recommend it at any time.
So, first of all, don't take the Postbus up, but from Chur first along the Hinterrhein, then on the road up to the Glaspass.
Downhill really tricky and a few hairpin bends.
Then on a challenging hiking trail (not road) to Egschi.
After the reservoir, the trail leads into a spectacular rock face.
Okay, and the last part down to Bonaduz is no longer as spectacular because it is on tar or gravel, but the tour is still worthwhile.
Bitter disappointment!
A bit of a technical descent at the start.
The rest of the (long) tour is almost entirely suitable for pushchairs....
