The tour starts harmlessly with the ascent from Chur railroad station via the district roads past the cantonal hospital and the Waldhaus clinic through the Fürstenwald forest to the outskirts of Trimmis. This is where the leisurely pace comes to an end and the long ascent towards Montalin begins. To do this, you climb 1300 meters in altitude on the gravel road to Fürstenalp before having to push your bike around 200 meters in altitude to the saddle north of the Montalin summit. The last section from the saddle to the summit, however, is mostly rideable again. At the summit, you can enjoy the view of Chur, almost 1700 meters below, and the surrounding mountain peaks. Bin die Tour gestern mit einem ebike gefahren, der Aufstieg bis Untersäss ist sehr steil, auch mit ebike ;) weiter zur Alp Obersäss ist sehr steil und mit groben Steinen, gestern hatten die Kühe alles kaputt gemacht, konnte nichts fahrbar, weiter zum Furgglis kann man nur der Anfang fahren, anschließend schieben und etwas tragen. Die Fahrt zum Montalin hingegen war erst Klasse..
Abfahrt war erster Teil super, anschließend auf einer steilen Straße. Ich bin wia Calzadür noch aufs Fürhörnli und habe den Super Trail nach Chur genommen.
Alles in allem eine lohnende und schöne Tour
