Alp Raschil | Ride MTB

Alp Raschil

From Alp Raschil, an excellent descent leads from Lenzerheide to Domleschg. Starting in Chur, the transition becomes a wonderful round trip.

Description

From Chur, ride along the tracks of the Arosa Railway to "Sand" and climb up to Passugg. Follow the signposted mountain bike route up via Churwalden and Parpan to the first houses in Valbella. You climb further up to Alp Spina, then to Alp Lavoz and finally steeply up to the crossing at Alp Raschil. This is followed by a first-class descent: technical and rough up to Alp Raschil, the trail meanders smoothly through a larch forest and with many hairpin bends to Alp Tamil. Now you reach Domleschg via a steep and rough alpine path, past Lake Canova to Tomils and finally on the Polenweg to Tamins. You then follow the left bank of the Rhine on a first-class trail to Chur.

As already explained by the previous writers, definitely not a trail tour. Nevertheless, it has charm, beautiful scenery and is definitely away from the hustle and bustle. I have ridden the tour several times and will do it again.

I agree with Micu's comment. I rode the ascent from Lenzerheide. 95% rideable with an enduro bike. E-bike 100%. Great fitness training. Unfortunately, the descent only serves to destroy the vertical meters. The trail in the larch forest is actually a steep, boggy quad track trampled by cows. The alpine path is very steep 100% on the brakes. Instead of heading towards Rothenbrunnen, I then turned off towards Thusis, took the train to Davos Glarus and treated myself to the Epic Trail Davos Filisur from Rinerhorn with an extension to Tiefencastel. This is really great!

Hello everyone
This tour is only recommended for those who only cycle up and down the mountain for their statistics.
