Urdenfürggli Arosa

Urdenseeli

The regions of Arosa and Lenzerheide are connected by the Urdenfürggli and lots of single trails. The Hörnlibahn makes the route suitable for everyone.

Description

The tour begins in Arosa with the ascent via the Carmennahütte to Hörnli. Here it would be possible to save almost 700 meters in altitude by using the gondola lift. On the Hörnli, the first singletrail descent begins, followed shortly afterwards by an ascent to the Urdenfürggli. The fast descent then leads to the reservoir at Alp Scharmoin, where the high-level trail towards Churer Joch begins. This later includes a descent and a strenuous ascent up to the hill. The subsequent descent to Tschiertschen is a mix of fun single trails and sections on alpine roads, after which the ascent to Ochsenalp begins. From here, the last section back to Arosa is characterized by many wonderful single trails.

Recommendable tour! The GPX track seems to be a bit outdated: The paths here have shifted in a few places. Most relevant: at the Carmennahütte on the ascent from Arosa to Hörnli: do not ride through the hut area here, but keep left before/under the hut. After about 500m you will come back to the GPX track. For the other deviations: Follow the rough direction and/or study the map.
