Albula-Rundtour (Lenzerheide)
Description
From Lenzerheide, you start by following the signposted mountain bike routes southwards to Lantsch and on to Vazerol. On a fun singletrail descent, you head towards the valley floor and finally reach the spectacularly situated Mistail church. You then ride uphill along the Albula river, passing Tiefencastel, Surava and Alvaneu Bad until you climb up to Schönboden in Filisur. This is the start of the first-class section to Wiesen Station, from where the return journey begins. This takes you downstream along the Landwasser River to the world-famous railroad viaduct. As soon as we reach the main road, we branch off to the right and climb up towards Alvaneu village to reach the singletrail descent to Surava high above the valley floor. You now roll back to Tiefencastel along the route from the outward journey. The return journey to Lenzerheide is by post bus. A more sporty option is to ride back to Lenzerheide under your own steam from Surava along the signposted mountain bike route via Brienz, Vazerol and Lantsch.

Status as of Sept. 1, 2023:
Normal riding up to Wiesen station. After Wiesen station, the trail is currently closed due to a storm. Detour via Wiesen.
Status as of June 9, 2023:
From Latsch/Lenz, the trail is closed for a short stretch due to the Brienz landslide zone. Alternative route via the main road and then back onto the trail at Vazerol. The trail is closed from Tiefencastel to Surava for the same reason. Alternative route via the main road Tiefencastel-Surava (2.4km).
Otherwise a very nice tour and the hiking trail between Wiesen Station and Landwasser Viaduct is also open.
Unfortunately no longer accessible from Wiesen Station. The Landwasser Viaduct hiking trail is closed due to a landslide. We took the train and bus back to Lenzerheide.
