A flow trail for Glarus

The bike dealer "bikestopstation" has been campaigning for a flow trail in front of the store in Ennenda for years. Now the municipality has given the green light for the project and the finish line is also in sight in terms of finances, but around 70,000 francs are still missing to implement the project.

"After various meetings, inspections and a lot of patience, we got the green light from the municipality. The GLKB-Flowtrail Glarus is a bike trail that blends beautifully into the terrain. Bends and small waves make the flow trail an experience for families, beginners and ambitious bikers alike," says Balz Gallati from the "bikestopstation" store in Ennenda.

The trail leads from Schwammhöhe to Glarus and, according to Gallati, does not disturb wildlife, hikers or other sportspeople who are out and about in the area. E-mountain bikers can also use the trail, even from the valley to the mountain. The trail will be around 7.5 kilometers long.

So far, sponsors such as Glarner Kantonalbank, Price Bikes and Ion have supported the project, but just over ten percent of the investment is still missing to make the trail a reality. "In order to realize the flow trail, we are still missing around 70,000 of a total of around 600,000 francs".
