Trek offers its best-selling Fuel model in three different versions. As the name suggests, the MX series features an MX/Mullet configuration with different wheel sizes on the front and rear. And that clearly indicates the all-mountain bike’s preferred terrain: downhill.

Following the Supreme Court of the United States' decision to suspend controversial import tariffs, the first companies are demanding their money back. Bicycle manufacturer Trek has also filed a lawsuit.

According to an internal memo, Trek is to adapt to the currently not exactly booming bicycle market. There is talk of streamlining the portfolio and cutting 10 percent of expenditure. At the same time, the US manufacturer has announced that it is entering into a close cooperation with the bike clothing company Rapha.

Trek presented the Marlin+, an e-bike version of its most popular mountain bike model. Four years after its market launch, Trek presents the second generation of the "Supercaliber" cross-country full-suspension bike. This comes with an improved rear triangle and more suspension travel, while the frame weight and standover height have been reduced. Another new feature: Trek offers the Supercaliber frame in two versions, the SLR and the SL. The lightest models are available from 9.3 kilograms.

As a ski run, the descent from Weissfluhjoch above Davos to Küblis in Prättigau enjoys legendary status. At 4,153 meters above sea level, the Bishorn is probably one of the highest Alpine peaks ever conquered on a mountain bike. Trek launched the Fuel EX on the market in 2012 and has revised it every two years. Now the sixth generation is in the stores. The bike has evolved into a contemporary all-mountain model with 140 millimetres of suspension travel. It allows six different geometries to be set and is packed with features.

Almost exactly two years ago, Team Trek-Vaude made its mark in the Olympic cross country. Since then, the team has made a name for itself as a "talent factory". Now the team is competing under the name "Trek Future Racing". As a talent factory for the professional team "Trek Factory Racing", the focus is on training talents from all over the world.

Since 2005, World Bicycle Relief has been helping people in Africa, South America and South-East Asia to improve their mobility. Trek is one of its active supporters, donating almost 1.8 million US dollars to the organization last year. The bike manufacturer is now aiming for a higher donation target in order to provide even more people in poorly developed regions with the distinctive Buffalo bicycles.

Trek's Trail Advocacy Program has almost doubled its success in its second year. More suspension travel and a flatter geometry should make the brand new Fuel EX even better equipped for demanding terrain. Under the hood of the new racer is a generous portion of customizability, whether it's the shock or the wheel size.

Trek introduces the completely redesigned Kovee Cross Country wheels, available in different price ranges to appeal to more mountain bikers.

Trek is launching a completely new e-mountainbike on the market with the Fuel EXe and has teamed up with German robotics specialist TQ. The Fuel EXe comes with the new HPR 50 motor from TQ, whose Harmonic Pinring gearbox dispenses with noisy and wear-prone belts and gears and instead relies on an innovative drive system that is smaller, quieter and more durable than conventional e-bike motors. The e-bike has 140 millimetres of suspension travel at the rear and weighs 18.4 kilograms in the top version.

It's been just under two years since Trek launched the Rail, and the first revision has already followed. This is not because the first model showed weaknesses, but because the new, larger batteries require more space in the frame. We tested how the changes affect the handling of the bike.

Santa Cruz, Specialized and Trek don't just build cool mountain bikes, these brands also support trail projects. After two years, the extremely talented Romanian Vlad Dascalu is parting ways with Team Trek Pirelli, but not with his bike. The 2019 U23 World Champion will therefore be racing for Trek Factory Racing in 2022. With a fifth place at the World Cup in Leogang, a seventh place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and fourth place at the World Championships, Dascalu showed that he is also well on his way to the top at elite level.

For his first U23 season, Swiss rider Nils Aebersold is switching to the German junior team Trek-Vaude. Aebersold's career highlights to date include winning the bronze medal at the U19 World Championships in Val di Sole.

Trek's own brand Bontrager has recently started offering a handlebar/stem unit made of carbon that is manufactured in one piece. Trek is thus following the current trend towards integration and reduction of the cockpit. But does such a system really offer any advantages or is it just a nice bling-bling part?

Trek has added two new top models to the Rail series: Rail 9.8 and 9.9 roll onto the trails with the new Smart System from Bosch. Also on board is the 750 Wh battery and the option to customize the e-bike system via app. The WhizAir system, which is designed to make it easier to tune the suspension elements, is cool and unique.

Brandon Semenuk has the Rampage really big on his agenda. And the clip in which you can watch Semenuk himself and his mechanic Sean Murphy building the bike for the Rampage is also big. The three-time champion of the freeride competition in Utah conjures a big bike out of a hat that is suitable for bar spins with a 190 millimeter single crown fork. Also interesting: There is a 26-inch wheel at the rear and a 27.5-inch wheel at the front. And if you look very closely, you will discover so-called Black Box AXS components, although Sram has not yet provided any further information on these.

Trek's Top Fuel served as a pure cross-country machine from 2004 to 2019. From 2019, the bike took the path towards trail bikes, which is consistently continued in the latest version: With 120 millimetres of travel, the new Top Fuel positions itself perfectly between the Supercaliber and Fuel Ex models.

"Being Gary Fisher and the Bicycle Revolution" is a kind of autobiography about more than just the bike builder. The book is also a journey through Fisher's crazy life as an inventor, a two-wheeled visionary who turned the industry on its head, consumed "funny things" and is still working flat out to prove that bicycles are the answer to a healthier and happier future for all.

At the end of July, Jolanda Neff made history at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. On August 18, 2021, Neff's outfitter Trek Bikes is hosting a big celebration in Zurich, where the Swiss Olympic champion will welcome four lucky winners to a meet and greet. Ride is giving away two sets of two tickets.

In retrospect, mountain bikers will probably associate the beginning of the twenties with two things: a blatant virus - and mountain bikes with a high pivot point. The trend towards a new type of rear triangle does not stop at one of the most style-defining downhill bikes: the Trek Session gets a new suspension design.
