The government of the canton of Graubünden decided last week to provide the destinations involved in the Swiss Epic with funding of 160,000 francs per year for the staging of the stage race. The money must be split between up to three stage locations per year, including Davos Klosters, Engadin St. Moritz, Lenzerheide, Laax and Scuol. In total, the Swiss Epic support funds amount to a remarkable CHF 480,000. The financial support from the cantonal authorities is therefore in the bag for the period 2024 to 2026. By the end of 2022, Ironman Switzerland AG, as the Swiss Epic organizer, will decide whether Graubünden will be awarded the contract to host the event for the next three years. The event is guaranteed to take place in Graubünden up to and including 2023.
