In hardly any other German city do people cycle as much and as much as in Freiburg. The city has been promoting cycling for decades and has invested heavily in its infrastructure, especially in recent years, with more than 400 kilometers of cycling network - almost 30 percent of Freiburg's traffic routes are now covered by bike.

Together with experts from the ADFC and the police, the city of Freiburg has pursued one goal: To design a modern city bike for the cycling city. For all those who want to be individually mobile without a car. The bike is produced locally by the company tout terrain in Gundelfingen near Freiburg, whose Metropolitan model served as the basis for the Freiburg-Rad.

The "Freiburg-Rad" is intended to complement the measures of the city's cycling concept and serve as an ambassador for the cycling city. When designing the equipment, attention was paid to durable, high-quality and low-maintenance components that ensure safety, comfort and riding enjoyment in all weathers and on all routes in and around the city.

The majority of the parts come from European production, powder coating and assembly take place directly at tout terrain in Gundelfingen. The "Freiburg-Rad" is produced in a limited edition of 111 and is given away as a prize or prize by the city and its partners as part of various campaigns. It is also available from specialist bike shops in Freiburg.
